Bali is a beach haven that attracts millions of tourists annually. Other than the Ubud, Seminyak and Canggu regions, Kuta, which is a short drive away from the Ngurah Rai International Airport, is also a popular beach resort area in Bali that tourists flock to.

If you’re planning to visit Bali, note that you will need to pay a 150,000 rupiah (about S$13) tax from 2024, which officials said is for preserving Bali’s culture. The fee will be paid electronically and applies to all foreign tourists entering Bali from abroad or other parts of Indonesia.

If this additional tax does not deter you, we’ve outlined below the things you can do in Kuta and where you can stay. You should also know that Kuta is a highly touristic area that can be crowded, especially during peak seasons.
