Wang Xiaofei on Barbie Hsu: She was also a family
4 Feb - Wang Xiaofei has recently been seen in Taiwan, following news of his former wife Barbie Hsu's passing.
The Shanghai entrepreneur was photographed at the Taoyuan Airport around 5.30pm on 3 February, accompanied by wife Mandy, after arriving from Thailand.
Looking haggard and forlorn when approached by the media, Wang was asked about his return to Taiwan, to which he said, "She was also my family."
He also bowed to the media deeply and said, "Please say more good things about her (Barbie)."
Wang and Barbie tied the knot in March 2011, four months after they first met each other. The marriage lasted ten years, with Barbie giving birth to two children. He also dedicated his (now defunct) hotel in Taiwan by naming it S Hotel inspired by Barbie's moniker Big S.
In late 2021, Barbie and Wang announced their divorce, with the actress getting the custody of the kids. They had big falling out soon after, with reports about their divorce settlements making rounds on the news and on social media.
The conflict between the two seemed to end after Wang tied the knot with new wife Mandy and Barbie moving on with her new life with husband DJ Koo.
News of Barbie's passing shocked the industry, after it was reported that she died from pneumonia caused by influenza complications. She was 48.
