4 Feb - News of Barbie Hsu's sudden passing shocked the whole entertainment industry, and the loss was immediately felt by friends of the actress, who took to social media to express their grief over the loss.

Good friend Lin Chi-ling, who released a statement via her agent, said that the news was shocking and regrettable, adding, "May she rest in peace in another world without worries and fears, and may her family be able to be strong and get through this difficult time. We will always remember her beauty, and rest in peace."

Pace Wu, who was part of the "Seven Fairies" friendship group alongside Barbie, Dee Hsu and several others, stated that she never thought that her decision to come to Tokyo to meet up with Barbie became the last time she saw her.
