Japanese actor-singer Tomohisa Yamashita, better known as Yamapi or Tomo, will be releasing a new single Face To Face on 16 February.

Apart from making the new single available on music streaming platforms, Yamashita will also be releasing a physical CD that includes Beautiful World, his first solo single released last September.

Following Beautiful World, Face To Face is produced by UTA as well, who has produced songs for various artists like BTS, Twice, Tohoshinki, Arashi, Namie Amuro, and Kumi Koda.

The music video for Face To Face was shot in France.

Yamashita wrote on his Instagram, “I'm very grateful for being able to shoot music videos abroad and having new life experiences there. Thank you for your support as always and I would be super happy if you could listen to this new song.”

Yamashita described Face To Face as a song that is filled with his thoughts of how he doesn’t need anything else as long as he has something precious to him during these trying times.

Since leaving the talent agency Johnny & Associates in October 2020, Yamashita has been focusing on establishing his career internationally.

From being appointed as Bvlgari’s ambassador to starring in the upcoming film A Blueprint For Love, the Netflix remake of Korean romance Architecture 101, and the upcoming US-French-Japanese adaptation of Drops Of God, it seems he has been quite successful so far.
