On Sunday (21 March), Japanese actor-singer Tomohisa Yamashita was appointed as the ambassador of Italian luxury brand Bvlgari.

As an introduction and a welcome, Bvlgari wrote on their Instagram, “Tomohisa’s charisma and indomitable spirit resonate with Bvlgari’s fearless design vision. And, naturally, the exuberant Bvlgari Aluminium Watch with chronograph dial matches his refined style perfectly.”

In addition, Bvlgari has plans for Yamashita to be “listed as one of the world’s most prominent Bvlgari ambassadors.”

Yamashita has also posted two photos of himself in a navy blue suit with Bvlgari’s accessories, and a behind-the-scenes video clip on his Instagram, saying, “I am very honoured to join the Bvlgari family.”

The newly appointed ambassador said he knew about Bvlgari’s active corporate social responsibility activities, and believed that the products produced by such a company had a positive and unbiased power.

Yamashita, who is better known as Yamapi, left his talent agency Johnny & Associates last October, and desired to build his career overseas. It seems his appointment as Bvlgari’s ambassador will make a significant milestone for his international career.
