Sharifah Sakinah: I look old because I am playing an older character!
2 Jan - Sharifah Sakinah recently expressed exasperation over people saying that her appearance looked "too old" in her new drama, for a character who is a third party in someone else's marriage.
The actress, who plays the character in iFame's new drama, "Curang Tanpa Niat", stated that the idea was indeed to make her look much older than her original age of 35, seeing that she is supposed to be 48 in the drama.
"I am a character actress. I am not your average homewrecker. In this drama, I am 48. That is why they have to make me look old. Do you understand?" she expressed. "If that's the kind of character I am playing, that's the kind of make-up I have to have!"
Sakinah stated that it is her responsibility to do what is needed for her character, adding that she would try and look younger if she is asked to play an 18-year-old.
The drama (aka "The Office Wife") stars Mira Filzah and Shukri Yahaya, and revolves around Elina, who finds that her husband Eshaal has been having an affair at his workplace.
