Hitomi Wang denies dating anew after husband's death
3 Jan - Hitomi Wang has recently denied reports that she is dating anew two years following the death of her husband, Taiwan-based Malaysian singer Eison Chai.
As reported on Oriental Daily, rumours of Hitomi dating again sparked after she was spotted meeting a man last Christmas outside a building, and going upstairs together after a short chat at the lobby.
It was later reported that the man in question is Juanmao, a substitute keyboardist for Hitomi and Eison's band, 87BAND. Juanmao reportedly has been nominated for many awards including the Golden Melody Awards and is currently a professional musician.
However, when asked about it, Hitomi denied it, saying that the musician is a good friend to her and her band, and who also serves as her keyboard tutor.
"On that day, I was asking him to help write the score for a performance on the 29th. That was where he holds his classes and there were other people there that day," she added.
Stating that the rumour surprised her, Hitomi added, "Thank you for being more anxious about my love life than I am. I wish everybody a Happy New Year."
It was back in August 2022 that Hitomi's husband died at age 40 after falling from a seventh-floor balcony near Luzhou subway station in New Taipei City.
