Yinhekyu Media founder on Zhao Lusi bullying: It wasn't me!
3 Jan - The founder of Yinhekuyu Media, Li Wei has denied being the person that Zhao Lusi's friend accused of bullying the actress to a point of depression.
Following Zhao's friend and the actress' own statement on Weibo regarding her battle with depression and other ailments caused by her "bad relationship with her boss", Li Wei issued a statement on social media saying that he has already left the agency back in 2023.
Li admitted that he had known Zhao for eight years and still remembered her smile when he first saw her. He recalled signing the young actress to his agency in September 2016 and said that it was the best decision he has made in the entertainment industry.
Li Wei said that in his eyes, Zhao is a tough little girl who bears all the pressure alone and works harder than ordinary people.
He said that he had withdrawn from the company in early 2023. Although he no longer had any cooperation with the company, he still considered Zhao as a good sister that he has to worry about, so he always protected and paid attention to her even after his departure.
Li Wei also admitted that he had sent a message to Zhao to show his concern and received a reply from her following her hospitalisation. He was relieved to know that she was recovering.
"Sometimes words are pale, and I blame myself for not being able to help. I understand very much when I see fans who like her attack me because of some misunderstandings."
He said that he could accept and bear the insults, but regarding the rumours that Zhao was beaten, Li Wei clarified, "I couldn't have beaten her in the women's restroom, it wasn't me!"
