Making its Southeast Asia debut, LE BAL de PARIS de Blanca Li brings to Singapore a PCVR theatrical performance built in room-scale VR. Where most VR applications allow users to engage with the virtual surroundings whilst remaining stationary in reality (3-Degrees of Freedom, 3-DoF), room-scale VR allows for users to move or walk around a physical space in reality with their movements translated in virtuality (6-DoF).

The 35-minute virtual experience is brought to audiences through the use of HTC Vive Focus 3 and HTC Vive trackers, utilising full-body tracking. Audiences can believe that their physical bodies have entered the virtual world; they would be able to see their virtual hands and legs move as their physical limbs do. The coherence between their physical and virtual selves intensifies one’s sense of presence within the virtual space.

Running on WiFi-6E technology and with a powerful rendering server, LE BAL de PARIS de Blanca Li uses WiFi streaming, allowing for 10 audiences to simultaneously share in the unforgettable experience. With all 10 audiences able to interact with each other, feeling each other in reality while seeing it in virtuality, coupled with music and audio playing from the VR headset, the multisensory experience allows for audiences to suspend disbelief from reality to virtuality and fully immerse themselves in the show.

To make the experience even more enjoyable, participants can choose their evening wear comprises of Chanel gowns and suits as they enter Le Bal de Paris.

Tickets start from S$73 onwards.

*The virtual reality equipment is not suitable for children under 10.
