What if red could talk? Chanel is giving it the floor with its Spring-Summer Makeup Collection 2023, for flushed cheeks and warmth that extends all the way to the temples.

When you pick up a Les 4 Rouges Yeux Et Joues palette, you'll find a colour harmony of four matte and satin shades, which can be used to experiment with a variety of subtle and intense looks that satisfy your every whim. The shades could be layered on any way you like – and I chose to mix three shades to give this deep, shimmering effect on the eyes (pictured above).

To pair your eye makeup, match it with the Baume Essentiel Rouge Frais, which accentuates the cheeks with a fresh and radiant healthy glow. And finally, coat the eyelashes with Noir Allure mascara for a sultry finish.

Available at all Chanel Fragrance and Beauty boutiques and counters.

Will the Dior Toujours bag be the next 'It' bag?

Creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri dreamed up this new accessory, unveiled at the Dior spring-summer 2023 ready-to-wear show.

Conceived according to the highest standards of craftsmanship, this object of desire embodies the virtuosity of Dior’s leather ateliers. Each step in its manufacture requires infinite meticulousness, from cutting the leather to applying the macrocannage motif. We think fashionistas will be rocking this new shape, judging by how soft and roomy it looks.

The savoir-faire Dior Toujours bag will be launching in Singapore on the 27th July, from the ready-to-wear AW’2023 collection.

These 3 bourbons from Buffalo Trace Distillery need to go into your alcohol cabinet

What comes to mind when you think of bourbon? Bourbon has been the misunderstood cousin of whisky for far too long, and it's time to shine a spotlight on the versatility of the bourbon spirit.

If you want to try good bourbon, put these three brands on your list from the most awarded distillery in the world.

1) Buffalo Trace bourbon:

Aged in new oak barrels for at least 8 years, this deep amber whiskey has a complex aroma of vanilla mint and molasses. Pleasantly sweet with notes of brown sugar and spice that give way to oak toffee dark fruit and anise. This whiskey finishes long and smooth with serious depth.

2) Sazerac Rye:

Sweet with spices and stem ginger in syrup. Orange zest, freshly ground black pepper and mixed peels. Thick, spicy palate with notes of Seville orange marmalade and allspice. Peanut butter, toffee and barrel char develop later on. An oily, spicy finish.

3) Eagle Rare 10 years:

The nose is complex with aromas of toffee, hints of orange peel, herbs, honey, leather and oak. The taste is bold, dry and delicate with candied almonds and very rich cocoa notes. The finish is dry and lingering.

When I asked Simone, the brand ambassador of Buffalo Trace, why someone should try bourbon, she said, "How a bourbon is made and how it's aged, it's as organic as it gets. No bourbon ever has that headstart (where they are aged in a barrel that has been put through work so people know how it will turn out). There are no flavours to hide behind (from a used barrel). It's as original a product as you're going to get."
