Xie Na says passport issue caused her absence from Joe Chen's wedding
12 Dec - Xie Na has finally addressed the reason for her absence from good friend Joe Chen's wedding in a recent appearance on the variety show, "Sun Market".
The TV personality, who became pals with the Taiwanese actress after meeting on the first season of Hunan TV's "We Are Here" in 2011, admitted that she was ready to go until she realised that her passport was expiring.
"Everything was ready. But my passport was expiring in three months and it would need at least six months to be able to go to Malaysia. Then there was a typhoon in Shanghai at that time. Anyway, I missed everything," she said.
It is noted that a foreign passport must have at least six months of validity remaining in order to enter Malaysia.
However, said Xie Na, despite her absence, she still became the number one trending search on Joe's wedding day because of the amount of the red packet she gave the actress.
A photo of Joe's red packet from the said host went viral during her wedding back in September after she revealed that Xie Na sent her money gift amounting to RMB66,666.66.
