Wanna Ali announces engagement to former IGP's son

3 Feb - Wanna Ali recently surprised many by announcing her engagement to the man of her choice, Khairil Amri.

Sharing the good news with photos from the ceremony on 2 February, she posted, "Alhamdulillah, one step closer. Two hearts, one promise, a lifetime to go. Please pray for us."

Many took to the comments to congratulate her, including singer Aisha Retno, who posted, "Masha-Allah. Congrats. See ya soon, inshaa-Allah."

Speaking about her engagement, the 28-year-old actress said that the engagement ceremony was actually held back in November, and that the two will be getting married in near future.

"Praise be to God, after praying in Mecca to find the right man, I met a man named Khairil Amri. About the wedding date, I will share it later," she said.

It is noted that Khairil Amri is the son of the 10th Inspector-General of Police of Malaysia, Tan Sri Dato' Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.
