CRU – a rhythm cycling gym frequented by the likes of Hailey Bieber, the Kardashians and even Usher – is set to celebrate its ninth anniversary next month with a jam-packed line-up of special events.

CRU opened its first location in Southeast Asia in Singapore in 2014, after siblings Valerie, Bebe and Calvin Ding experienced the infectious energy at CRU LA. The trio were inspired to bring the music-based spin trend to the Lion City and since then, CRU has transformed the local fitness scene.

Over the years, CRU has evolved into more than just a gym. Today, the studio offers online and in-person boxing, yoga and HIIT classes, alongside rhythm cycling. And because your loved ones deserve to become unofficial CRU members too, they also sell merch for both adults and kids and even have their very own dog food brand, PUPS.

What sets CRU apart from your average fitness classes is its dedication to creating top-notch playlists that will help you have a great time while sweating. With a fun, nightclub-style environment, it’s not hard to see why so many celebs swear by this workout.

When new members walk into a class, they are immediately greeted with flashing lights and heart-pumping beats that fill the dark room. From there, a ‘Pack Leader’ (CRU’s in-house name for its instructors) will walk them through the process and what to expect from each class. Members describe its environment full of ‘unparalleled energy’ which, of course, is what keeps them coming back.

For the anniversary event, CRU will bring in two of the world’s biggest spin celebrities as special guest instructors. Boasting millions of combined followers on social media, Kristina Girod (POWER+FLOW) and French rhythm cycling sensation Gabriel Seibel will be in attendance to spread the good vibes.

With CRU’s celeb instructors joining forces with its ever-motivating Pack Leaders (including co-founder Valerie, who is also the head trainer), guests will be treated to a blood-pumping workout that will have them howling in unison. Themed classes, duo classes and trio classes for the occasion will also be revealed soon.

VIP goodie bags will also be up for grabs, filled with special gifts from Lemon8, 100Plus, Adore, Geneco, Jiggy, cheak, Drunk Elephant, Harmless Harvest and good food. There will even be custom cheak goodies, so members can wear their Pack allegiance loud and proud.

CRU’s ninth-anniversary celebrations will take place from 2 to 15 October.
