Asia's 50 Best Restaurants top 51-100 list for 2023: 3 new Singapore restaurants are on the list
Singapore and Bangkok both have six establishments each in this section of the ranking.
There's always something special when it comes to savouring food that are works of art. That's why lists like World's Best Restaurants and World's 50 Best Bars celebrate the beauty and culinary skills of chefs and renowned bartenders who make that happen. This year is no different as we celebrate the deserving ones with the annual Asia's 50 Best Restaurants list.
Ahead of its live awards ceremony to be held in Singapore on the 28th of March, where the top 1-50 list of restaurants will be revealed, we have the full list of the top 51-100.
To recap, the winners' list was created from the votes of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants Academy, an influential gender-balanced group of over 300 leaders in the food industry consisting of food writers and critics, chefs, restaurateurs, and regional culinary experts.
Singapore’s debutants on the 51-100 ranking are Nae:um (No. 83), serving modern Korean cuisine, and Julien Royer’s French neo-brasserie Claudine (No. 85) – both of which are only just over a year old – followed by the well-established Cantonese restaurant Summer Pavilion at No. 86.
As for the other three Singapore restaurants in the list: Thevar climbed up the ranks to No. 56 from last year's ranking at No. 92 while Lolla sits comfortably at No. 66, up from last year's No. 75 ranking. Jaan by Kirk Westaway fell to No. 84 this year compared to last year's ranking at No. 55.
Kuala Lumpur's Dewakan currently sits on No. 74, followed by Eat and Cook at No. 79 and Nadodi at No. 94. All three restaurants took a stumble from last year's ranking.
