In an exclusive interview with the co-founder of Swedish skincare brand Nor Sken, we spoke with Lars Brittsjo and delved into the Restore CRT Facial Cream.

Lars Brittsjo: Nor Sken is a cosmeceutical brand that is developed in Sweden and produced in Singapore. We are dedicated to enhancing your quality of life by harnessing the power of nature and science. Green Beauty is a term that refers to beauty products that are sourced, produced, and packaged in a way that’s good for the environment. It also often refers to natural skincare or products made with naturally derived ingredients. Often times it’s used interchangeably with Clean beauty.

You were in the optometry industry and then moved on to cosmetology. How did that happen?
Cosmeceuticals and anti-ageing go beyond beauty and it is also about your total health and well-being. In the studies of optometry there is a fair share of physiology and medical studies that have been a great foundation when leaping out into natural remedies, holistic wellness, and anti-ageing. I firmly believe that nature holds (and continues to hold) a wealth of solutions for our needs, including anti-ageing treatments that have been proven to be highly effective.
Throughout your career, were there any particularly challenging moments? How did you overcome them?
Of course, business presents many challenges and ups and downs. Persistence and never giving up is probably the best way to overcome life’s challenges.
Share with us your journeys in creating Imedeen and Xndo.
I was not the creator, but rather the distributor for Imedeen. Lars Kärnerud, the founder of Imedeen, who is an old friend of mine, gave me the sole distribution rights in nine countries in this geographic area.
After selling Bionax (the distribution company for Imedeen) in 2003 I was contractually not allowed to do anything relating to the skin. Wanting to contribute to people’s well-being and health, we focused on obesity, which is one of the biggest causes of many diseases, and thus we developed the Xndo system.

And how did these past experiences lead to Nor Sken and creating the Restore CRT Facial Cream?
We learn as long as we live, so of course I now have the benefit of looking back at my long life with rich experiences and countless learnings. It all helps.
What is it about the beauty industry that draws you in and keeps you motivated?
I see myself as working in the Health and Wellness, not just the Beauty industry per se. But of course, from a holistic perspective, it all links together. A healthy person looks better. Throughout my journey, I have always been driven by the purpose of making a positive difference in people’s lives, and that keeps me motivated.

You have been in nutrition (Imedeen), beauty (Restore CRT facial cream), and also weight-management (Xndo). Are there any other areas you will be delving into in the beauty industry?
The focus will always stay on Health and Wellness. The key to healthy longevity and beauty lies in staying healthy, and fit and having a good mental attitude. There is much that we can do about it and I will continue to do my part in providing remedies as far as I can.
What new trends can we look forward to in the future for modern-day consumers?
Anti-ageing or even reverse ageing is where I can see the trend going.
What exciting plans can we look forward to from you in 2024 and beyond?
We have plans to expand our brand and introduce more groundbreaking cosmeceutical solutions that will positively impact our customers in the future.

What’s your self-care routine like?
I start my morning by taking a shot of coconut oil, along with other natural remedies like turmeric. Besides this, I take care of my health by not eating carbs and instead, opting for proteins and foods that are high in healthy fat (No Trans Fat). Probiotics and fibre are also very important. My statement is “It is NOT the healthy food you eat that keeps you healthy, it is the UN-healthy that you DON’T eat that matters.
