Been browsing at Sephora and noticed the Clean + Planet Positive seal on specific products? For years already, Sephora has been increasingly growing its Clean Beauty category. With the introduction of the Clean + Planet Positive seal, brands that prioritise sustainable practices in their creation and marketing of beauty products are highlighted and given the Sephora seal of approval.

What does this mean for the average consumer like you and me? Simply put, consumers who are increasingly requesting for greater transparency from brands are not only educated about what goes on behind-the-scenes, products with an environmentally-friendly philosophy are now more easily available. As a forerunner in the beauty industry, Sephora leads the movement via a two-prong approach: Clean + Planet Positive (better for us) and Clean at Sephora (better for me).

Clean at Sephora

Clean at Sephora focuses on providing the right knowledge to its consumers. One way this is achieved is through its “formulated without” ingredient list – ingredients that are known or suspected to be potentially harmful to human health and the environment. Via science-backed innovations, products in the Clean at Sephora category house a curation of the best in the clean category within the beauty industry.
