"The Queen of News" to get second season and a movie
27 Jun - It was revealed that the second season of "The Queen of News" is on and will begin filming this year.
As reported on TVBS, the news was shared by producer Chung Shu Kai at a press conference in Shanghai on 25 June, saying that season two will start production around the end of December and that the drama will maintain its original actors; including Charmaine Sheh, Samantha Ko, Bosco Wong and Kenneth Ma.
At the same time, Chung revealed that there will also be a movie version of the title.
"The story of the sequel is almost completed but we found that a very small piece is missing. In order to make the story more complete, we plan to shoot a movie version," he said.
He also confirmed that actress Hera Chan has been cast to play the antagonist to Charmaine's character, while the team has yet to cast for the other additional role, which he said will be a "particularly good anchor".
