Pan Pacific Orchard towers above Orchard Road; Pan Pacific Singapore reopens
Exciting time for Singapore's homegrown hospitality brand, with a 30-million facelift at Pan Pacific Singapore and a newly opened Pan Pacific Orchard property.
It's an exciting year for Singapore's home-grown hospitality brand, Pan Pacific Hotels Group, comprising of three brands: Pan Pacific, Parkroyal Collection, and Parkroyal.
The group owns and/or manages nearly 50 hotels, resorts and serviced suites in 29 cities across Asia, Oceania, North America and Europe. Within Singapore, two establishments have just opened/reopened, which you'll want to put on your next staycation list.
Here is what to expect from Pan Pacific Orchard at 10 Claymore Road and Pan Pacific Singapore at 7 Raffles Boulevard.
Pan Pacific Orchard glows up on 10 Claymore Road
You might have noticed a glowing pink building while walking along Orchard Road recently, especially at night when passersby stop in the street to take photos of the jenga-like building.
The hotel, situated on 10 Claymore Road, is the latest flagship property of Pan Pacific Hotels Group (PPHG) in Singapore and the city’s second Pan Pacific hotel. The 347-key, 23-storey hotel is designed by architectural firm WOHA – known for its innovative and sustainable approach towards design – and developed by UOL Group Limited. The award-winning Singapore-based practice is also behind the design of Parkroyal Collection Pickering and Oasia Hotel Downtown.
The hotel's 347 rooms and suites are meticulously designed for comfort and luxury, including 400-thread-count cotton bedding and luxurious bath amenities by French house Diptyque. In-room filtered water dispensers encourage guests to adopt sustainable practices, and reusable bottles made with ocean-bound material will also be available in the room.
Upon arrival at the hotel, guests enter the Forest Terrace, a breezy check-in spot surrounded by tranquil greenery. Nature is at the forefront with four high-volume terraced environments: Forest, Beach, Garden and Cloud. Dramatic 120m green columns tower through the terraces, creating a spectacle of thriving flora. Mirrored ceilings reflect each unique landscape, from the sparkling pools of Beach Terrace to the manicured lawns of Garden Terrace, and open-air spaces welcome abundant fresh breeze and natural daylight for alfresco experiences.
Pan Pacific Orchard also introduces Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts’ therapeutic Happy Sleepers programme, featuring thoughtful sleep-boosting amenities and activities exclusively available in the hotel’s suites, Pacific Club Room and Pan Pacific Discovery members. Beginning with a pillow menu for all sleeping styles, additional services will be rolled out subsequently, such as in-room meditation and yoga, curated dining options and luxury bath products.
Club guests can enjoy an extra special stay with dedicated check-in, late check-out and exclusive access to the plush 130-seater Pacific Club Lounge within the Garden Terrace. Fitted with custom-designed furnishings and counters topped in Italy-treated leathered marble, Pacific Club Lounge presents a private retreat with indoor and outdoor alfresco spaces overlooking the landscaped lawns and cabanas of the Garden Terrace.
Pan Pacific Orchard will soon launch the Atelier-in-Residence programme, where the property will host limited-edition made-in-Singapore brands that celebrate craft and innovation. Housed on the 11th floor, brands will be free to create workshops, exhibitions, talks and more.
Pan Pacific Singapore reveals transformation alongside new dining and retail concept: Pacific Emporium
Moving away from Orchard towards Pan Pacific Singapore, take a look at the flagship property of Pan Pacific Hotels Group, which recently unveiled its S$30 million transformation after the refurbishment initiative that commenced in April 2023.
The Deluxe Rooms, Executive Marina Bay Rooms, and Premier Suite were redesigned by reducing the balcony sizes to provide extra room space. The beds have also been repositioned for guests to enjoy a picturesque view of the Marina Bay skyline.
The grand reveal of the transformed Pan Pacific Singapore is marked by the launch of the hotel’s newest offering, Pacific Emporium, a new dining and retail destination that highlights Singapore’s heritage, culinary legacy, and creative craftsmanship through four distinct spaces: The Kitchen, The Bar, The Deli, and The Gifting. The Gifting is the retail concept highlighting local brands such as Singapore Fashion Council’s (SFC) platform, Design Orchard, Scentopia and more.
The refurbishment also includes the opening of hotel’s new destination bar PLUME, a gorgeous space with speciality cocktails that are not only named after birds, but take inspiration from their habitats and food.
