NCT WISH's Riku set for March return after health recovery
5 Feb - NCT WISH member Riku is set to return to activities following a four-month health-related hiatus, as announced by SM Entertainment on 3 February.
The company shared positive news about his recovery, stating, "Riku, who had temporarily halted activities due to health reasons, has been working hard to recover his health while getting enough rest and relaxation, and his condition has now greatly improved."
The decision for his return was carefully considered, with SM Entertainment explaining, "We decided to resume activities based on Riku's will to return to activities in the future and the medical team's opinions."
For the immediate future, NCT WISH will continue their February activities with five members: Sion, Yuushi, Jaehee, Ryo, and Sakuya. Riku's official return is scheduled for March, when he will join the group for the "2025 NCT WISH ASIA TOUR LOG IN."
Additionally, he will be involved in both the production and activities surrounding the group's upcoming album, planned for release in the first half of 2025.
SM Entertainment expressed their gratitude to fans, saying, "We would like to thank the fans who have always sent Riku warm support and encouragement, and we will also do our best so that Riku can continue his activities in good health."
Riku initially suspended his activities in October 2023 due to health concerns, during which time NCT WISH has been performing as a five-member group. His return marks a complete reunion for the group and their dedicated fanbase.
