Karena Ng happy to play Wong Ka Yan again
25 Aug - It was revealed that actress Karena Ng will be making a guest appearance as Wong Ka Yan in Benny Lau's upcoming movie, "Sun Moon Star" (working title).
As reported on Singtao, the actress who previously played the character in Benny's movie of the same name, shared that she is happy to reprise her role as Ka Yan again, since the new movie also took place in the 90s, similar to the 2015 film.
"The director wants some continuity in the story, which would make it feel like a parallel universe," said Karena.
The actress also shared that she felt happy when she donned the Wong Ka Yan denim as it made her feel like she was transported back to a couple of years, back when she filmed the movie.
"I am happy to work with Benny again, since it has been a while since I worked in Hong Kong. I have been working mostly in mainland China since early this year, so it feels particularly familiar being back in Hong Kong," she said.
On the other hand, when asked to address rumours that boyfriend Raymond Lam has popped the question while they were overseas, Karena responded, "Engaged? No, absolutely untrue."
