Jeannie Hsieh to perform with reduced fee?

15 Sep - Representative of Jeannie Hsieh's management agency has denied rumours that the singer's appearance value has now decreased due to lack of new material, and an image problem.

As reported on Epoch Times, tabloids previously reported that while the singer was one of the highest paid performers in Taiwan in the past, her popularity seemed to have slipped down for the past couple of years.

Aside from not having any new album since 2012, Jeannie's image was severely damaged following the conflict she had with father Chu Ke-liang, who passed away earlier this year and with members of Chu's other family.

Jeannie, who is making her comeback, reportedly will be performing at three New Year's Eve events, but with almost 50 percent reduction in her performance fee.

When asked about it recently, her rep stated that the company has received all the invitations for Jeannie to perform, although nothing is finalised just yet.

"Jeannie is partly still in hiatus, but everything will be determined based on her decision," the rep continued.

The company also stated that the singer will give her best performance regardless whether it is a big stage or a small venue.
