Christine Kuo hints a change in marital status

24 Jan - Christine Kuo seems to be hinting that things have changed with husband William Lok, after revealing to the media that she plans to make her showbiz comeback this year.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who made a rare appearance for an event in Causeway Bay on 22 January, said that it has been a while since she attended public events and was surprised that people still recognised her when she attended good friend Linda Chung's concert earlier.

Christine also revealed that she and her manager have parted ways last year and that she is now free.

"It's been a good year this year. I had an event at the beginning of the year and filmed an advertisement to be released later. I hope to get more work this year. Now I have producers and directors looking for me to film," she said.

However, the actress seemed to be avoiding any questions regarding her racer husband and said that she has "sorted out" her personal issue, and that people addresses her as Ms. Kuo now.

When asked if it's wrong to address her as Mrs. Lok, she hesitated before responding, "Let's talk about it when the time is right. There are some personal matters that need to be dealt with."

Asked if she is starting over, she responded, "Everyone is starting again in 2025. A new year and a new beginning."

Christine tied the knot with racer William Lok in 2018. Since then, there had been repeated rumours about a troubled marriage, but both parties declined to respond.
