Zubir Khan plans to expand his talent to India
5 Feb - Zubir Khan is planning to make a name for himself in India, now that he has gained the attention of famous composer Adhi of the duo Hiphop Tamizha.
The singer, who enjoyed his rising status following the virality of his songs "Yennode Macha" and "Oh My Kadhale (OMK)", said that Adhi, who was surprised to find that he is a Malay singer, has introduced him to several individuals involved in the music industry in India.
"They think that I have a big potential to expand my talent in India. Tamil songs have its own musical style and they think that my singing is unique," he said.
At the same time, Zubir said that he hasn't planned to launch a Malay song at the moment.
"I have to be 'greedy' right now. If I don't act fast, it's like I am letting go of a chance that is in front of my eyes," he said. "It's not that I don't want to sing Malay songs, but I have to grab the chance I have right now."
Zubir said that he is currently preparing for his Tamil album, which will see him working with a number of great musicians. He expressed hope that he can make his Indian debut with the said album.
