Ziana Zain wouldn't pay too much attention to competitors
15 Dec – Set to perform in competition at the 38th Semifinal of Muzik-Muzik (SFMM38) soon, Ziana Zain stated that her focus right now is to perform as best as she can.
The legendary singer, who hasn't competed in the said annual music event for the past 15 years, stated that she doesn't pay much attention to other competitors especially at her age.
"I am a mother now. I can only focus on singing my best," she said.
Another reason for her to do her best was the people behind her song, "Waktu" which she will sing with Hasif Upin. The song was written and composed by Firdaus Rahmat, Iqie Hugh and John Jeeves.
"They depend on me. I can't say no to these people who have given such a good song to me. How would they feel if we don't appreciate it? So, yes. I will be representing the composers and the lyricists," she said.
Ziana will be competing against singers like Hael Husaini ("Bintang"), Liza Hanim ("Sejuta Maaf"), Aisha Retno ("Sutera"), Khai Bahar ("Oh Wanita"), Faizal Tahir ("Santai") as well as Datin Alyah ("Cinta Sahabiyah") among others.
The SFMM 38 will be held three days in a row from 15 to 17 December to choose the 12 songs that will be competing at the finals on 3 March.
