Zhang Ziyi on Song-Song couple: Respect their choice!

28 Jun – The news of Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo's divorce came as a surprise to many fans and friends alike, and that include Chinese actress and close friend Zhang Ziyi.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who attended the couple's wedding in 2017, recently took to Weibo following the news, asking fans to give both parties some space.

"Respect their choice, believe it to be the best decision, and I hope to see them at their best in the future!" she wrote.

Zhang have known the Korean actress for a while now, having worked with Song Hye-kyo in three movies, including the 2013 Wong Kar Wai film, "The Grandmaster".

She was also known to be close to Song Joong-ki after endorsing the same cosmetic brand. Zhang had also once shared a photo of the actor holding her daughter Xingxing.
