Yusuf Bahrin asks Zizi Kirana's permission for shirtless scene

22 Dec - Yusuf Bahrin recently revealed that Korean director Lee Moon-ho respected his wish not to show off too much skin while filming a shirtless scene in his new movie, "The Lord Musang King".

The actor, who plays the lead in the upcoming movie, says that he is glad that the director understood his concern as a Muslim, even though he still has to shoot the said scene in front of the camera.

Stating that he set the term of not showing the equivalent of the male aurat in Islam (lower abdomen to knee), Yusuf said, "I plead to the producer to relay it to the director with the excuse being my wife would be angry. Praise be to God, the director accepted the term."

Yusuf said just like how a wife would ask for a husband's permission, he too asked wife and rapper Zizi Kirana if he could shoot the scene and received her green light before doing so.

"It was part of the script. I didn't want to stay silent and only let her know after the movie comes out," he said.

"The Lord Musang King" has been in cinemas since 21 December. The movie co-stars Fimie Don, Jay Iswazir, Kwak Dong-hyuk and Kim Bo-yeon.
