Yuna wants to be back in Malaysia for good

25 Jul - Her aging parents was one of the reasons why singer-songwriter Yuna decided to come back to Malaysia after more than a decade of living in the United States.

The 38-year-old singer, real name Yunalis Mat Zara'ai stated that she and her husband planned to stay for good this time and to be near her parents as they grew older.

"The family is happy with the decision and we are also happy to be able to fulfill our wish of being closer to them and spending more time with them," she said.

"I also had a chance to have lunch with the family and my former sister-in-law Bunga Citra Lestari who was coincidentally in Kuala Lumpur. That's what makes it fun. Otherwise, we were only able to watch from afar."

Nevertheless, Yuna assured that she still has a career in the US and will proceed with her schedules as usual.

"Usually, if I have recording work in the US, it will only take around two weeks. That's not a problem because we have technology that we can use. I admit that the US is a great place for my music career, but when it comes to the quality of living, here is much better," she said.
