Yazid Halim admits to have married young wife for two years now
23 Feb - Dikir barat singer Yazid Halim recently admitted that he has married another woman who is 43 years younger than him since 2022.
The singer, most known for the song, "Anak Tupai", revealed that he met his second wife, Nurul Farhana Asyikin on social media, and that his now 21-year-old wife used to babysit his cousin's child.
"My second wife is also from Kelantan and was a fan of mine. She might be young, but she knows all of my dikir barat songs," he said.
As to what his first wife thinks about the second marriage, Yazid said that she is accepting of the marriage, though the two parties have never met despite living close to one another.
"They are not in conflict with each other, but they're not close. We live in Salak Tinggi now, but in different places that is only three minutes away from each other," he said.
Yazid also revealed that he and Farhana have just welcomed their first daughter together six months ago, whom they named Davinia Ateeliya. Meanwhile, the singer, who now sells nasi lemak and Kelantanese dishes near his neighbourhood, has eight children with his first wife.
"I will not open for business whenever there is any singing gigs even though my wife can take care of it. I didn't want it open when I am not there because I don't want my fans to feel disappointed to not see me if they come," he added.
