Selena Lee and fiance end engagement after four years
12 Feb - After four years of engagement, Selena Lee recently announced that she and her fiance, Anson Cha have called it quits on their relationship.
Sharing the news on Instagram on 10 February, the actress said that she and Anson made the decision to take their own separate paths and change the status of their relationship.
"I am grateful for the eight and a half years. We're both fine. We made this decision with love, gratitude, and blessings. Thank you everyone for respecting our decision and privacy," she posted.
Selena said that "marriage does not necessarily mean happiness, but that it's how to enjoy the process of getting along when fate comes. At a certain stage of life, it is also a kind of happiness to meet people who let you learn and grow together, and make you feel worthy of love. In the process, there is effort, purpose, there is growth, and love."
Stressing that breakups aren't the absolute end, one should not be fazed by other people's opinions or let them influence one's decision.
"Instead, be free, listen to the heart, feel calm and happy," she added.
Selena announced her engagement with Anson, who is a celebrity fitness trainer who trained the likes of Aaron Kwok and Chow Yun Fat, back in February 2021.
