11 Mar – A week after it was reported that Jason Statham has abruptly left the upcoming action comedy "Man from Toronto", a new name has now been revealed as the movie's titular lead.

Woody Harrelson will be replacing Statham as the eponymous deadly assassin, according to Deadline.

Harrelson will be starring alongside Kevin Hart, who is attached to play Teddy, a character described as New York's biggest screw-up.

In the movie, the Man from Toronto a.k.a. the world's deadliest assassin and Teddy get mistaken for each other in a rented Airbnb. They must team up to save the day but first, they will have to survive working with each other.

The movie was first announced last January with Statham and Hart co-starring. However, earlier this month, Statham exited the project due to disagreement with Sony Pictures over the movie's rating. The actor was gunning for an R rating while the studio wanted it to be PG-13.

It remains to be seen whether the movie will still open in North America this 20 November, since there's no word yet on whether production – which was scheduled to begin in April – will be delayed.

Aside from "Man from Toronto", Harrelson also has another movie coming out this year. He is currently filming the sequel to 2018's "Venom", slotted for release this October.
