Women On Top: Fashion designer Priscilla Shunmugam launches new diffusion line, OM

Singapore — When it comes to bespoke Asian dresses, one can always turn to designer Priscilla Shunmugam, whose label Ong Shunmugam is a modern take of the traditional cheongsam wear. From the label she created in 2010, she has since shown her designs at Paris Fashion Week (2012) to Audi Fashion Festival (2013 and 2014) and Singapore Fashion Week (2015).

This year, Priscilla has taken a bold step to launching her first ready-to-wear diffusion line, OM, marking another milestone in the evolution of her 9-year-old homegrown brand.OM is a new line dedicated to helping working women build their own fashion vocabulary of beauty, power and gender.

For the second episode of ‘Women On Top‘ we spoke to founder and designer Priscilla on her new line that is an obvious departure from the main line of Ong Shunmugam, and advice for inspiring designers looking to break into the industry.
