Woman found maggot in fried chicken purchased from Puchong mixed rice stall
As our pace of life gets faster, we tend to eat out more frequently. Food hygiene has then become more important amongst diners. Recently, a Facebook post on food hygiene went viral, where a woman found maggot in her fried chicken. According to the post, she purchased the fried chicken from a mixed rice stall at Restoran Xing Yin, Puchong Prima.
After eating some of the fried chicken, she was shocked to discover a maggot inside. She also found the encounter utterly nasty. This unanticipated and unpleasant discovery raised concerns about the overall quality and safety of the meals, drawing attention from netizens.
In addition to the maggot, some netizens also raised questions about whether the chicken was properly cooked. As shown in the picture above, the fried chicken exhibited a subtle pink hue in its appearance, which led them to speculate that it might be undercooked.
Some made light-hearted comments, joking that the surprise ingredient in the meal might be a type of cordyceps. One netizen even made a hilarious comment suggesting that it is a protein-rich addition to the meal (even though it’s unusual).
