Venus Wong didn't know about rape scene before filming "Me Too"

20 Jun – Hong Kong actress Venus Wong admitted that she didn't know she had to film a violation scene with Edmond Leung in her new drama, "Me Too", prior to production.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who spoke about the new ViuTV drama recently, shared that she only found out about the scene when she started filming, though stressed that she had no issue with it.

"The staff treated me nicely during the shoot, did all the safety precaution, and made sure that I was comfortable. I was proud of it," she said.

Venus said that boyfriend Derek Tsang was surprised by the news when she shared it with him.

"He knows about the subject matter of the drama, but didn't know how intense it would be," she said.

She also stressed that Derek was not jealous at all.

"He is a director, so he understands. And the scale of the scene was not that big," she said.

The upcoming drama, which revolves around sexual harassment and the Me Too movement, co-stars Edmond Leung and Angie Cheong.
