Tunku Mona thrilled for Fabian Loo winning Asia Pacific Film Festival's Best Supporting Actor

4 Dec - Tunku Mona recently expressed happiness for Fabian Loo, who was finally recognised for his acting ability in "Rain Town" by the Asia Pacific Film Festival (APFF 61).

The filmmaker, who accepted the actor's award on his behalf at the event held in Genting Highlands, Malaysia, recently, said that she was a little disappointed when Fabian was not nominated at all in the Malaysian Film Festival (FFM).

"But him winning Best Supporting Actor at the APFF 61 is a huge achievement for his career," she said.

Asked if Fabian was disappointed over not being nominated for FFM, Tunku Mona said that the actor is a "chill guy".

"He didn't say how he feels, but he was elated when he heard that the movie received nine nominations at FFM. Fabian truly shined even when he was auditioning for the role of Isaac, so I am very confident of his talent," she said.

The five actors nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category at the upcoming FFM are Wan Azli ("Pagari Bulan"), Sharnaaz Ahmad ("Polis Evo 3"), Syafiq Kyle ("Sheriff"), Kahoe Hon ("Victim(s)") and Jack Tan ("Abang Adik").
