New in town: Sunny Meido Cafe – Sarawak’s first ever Japanese maid cafe

If you think maid cafes are an absurd concept that only exist in faraway countries, here’s one that operates in Malaysia itself. So if you’ve been secretly wanting to visit one, head over to the recently launched Sunny Meido Cafe in Sarawak!

Sunny Meido Cafe - Japanese maids

Enter Sunny Meido Cafe and you’ll be pleasantly greeted by waitresses dressed in maid costumes with “Good day Goshujin-sama and Ojou-sama!” which translates to “Good day Master and Mistress!”

Located in Boulevard Commercial Centre, patrons can enjoy casual, fun conversations as well as take photographs with the waitresses.

Have a sweet tooth? Indulge in the cafe’s bestseller— Parfait Paradise (RM15.90). This chilly treat comes in three flavours, strawberry, chocolate, and cookies and cream. In the mood for pastries instead? Try the Sweet Croissant (RM6.90) which comes in a wide variety of flavours— strawberry, blueberry, mango, banana, Oreo, and Lotus Biscoff. The fun part of ordering the Sweet Croissant is that the design depends on the maid decorating it! Which means you each croissant comes with a new décor.

According to their social media, customers who complete 10 visits, will be entitled to a free drink of your choice. Do take note that the waitresses will take their lunch breaks from 3pm to 4.30pm, so plan your time wisely!
