Tony Leung nominated at Asian Film Awards again

9 Jan – Tony Leung Chiu Wai has been nominated Best Actor at the upcoming 16th Asian Film Awards.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who has been nominated for his performance in the upcoming movie, "Where the Wind Blows", expressed gratitude for the nomination, saying that he is honoured to be on the same category as some of the most excellent actors in Asia.

Tony will be competing against Zhang Yi ("Homecoming"), Hidetoshi Nishijima ("Drive My Car"), Ryohei Suzuki ("Egoist"), Mohsen Tanabandeh ("World War 3"), and Park Hae-Il ("Decision to Leave").

It is noted that this is Tony's third Best Actor nomination at the Asian Film Awards.

He was previously nominated through "Lust, Caution" and won, but failed to win again with Wong Kar Wai's "The Grandmaster".

In "Where the Wind Blows", Tony plays the role of Nam Kong, Chief Detective Staff Sergeant of the Royal Hong Kong Police Force garrisoned in Kowloon and the New Territories.
