Tang Wei announces engagement to South Korean director
4 Jul – Chinese actress Tang Wei has recently announced her engagement to South Korean director Kim Tae-yong.
As reported on CRI News, Tang's agency, Champion Star, released a statement revealing the couple's wedding plans this fall, which will be a private ceremony to be attended by friends and family only.
The statement read, "We became friends and then grew closer through time. Now we would like to become husband and wife, even if it means learning each other's difficult language."
"But we know that from this hardship comes the happiest moments, where we will learn to understand and respect each other profoundly."
Stating that a movie is an important factor that unites them together, the 34 year-old actress met 44 year-old Kim while working with him on "Late Autumn" back in 2010.
