Patrick Garcia now engaged to girlfriend Nikka Martinez
Patrick Garcia is now officially engaged to his girlfriend Nikka Martinez.
The former child actor took to Instagram to share a video of his proposal, which happened in a church service.
"It will make me very happy if you'd allow me to make it right with you and most of all of we could make it right with The Lord," Patrick told Nikka.
Patrick then bent on one knee and popped the big question as he showed the blue sapphire ring to Nikka. The newly-engaged couple have a one-year-old daughter named Chelsea.
The surprised Nikka also took to Instagram to share photos of her ring and their engagement. She did not expect Patrick will propose in the church.
"I thought you were just going to share your powerful testimony in church. Little did I know. Well I did not know at all you had this planned today! I love you @onlypatrickgarcia !!!! Yes, I will gladly marry you😘😍😘😍😘😍 #makingthingsright #allglorytoYouLord #WLCM," Nikka posted.
Patrick's sister Cheska, who was in Cebu, congratulated the couple in her Instagram account.
“I’m so happy for the both of you! Make it right with the Lord and everything will follow," Cheska posted.
Martinez also appears to have Patrick’s mom’s approval, as she posted a photo posing with her future mom-in-law.
In an interview with Patrick last year, he said that he doesn't want to rush marriage because he wants to take it one step at a time after the birth of their daughter.
"Someday I'll settle down and get married. Kung ano man yung journey ko sa buhay, tatanggapin ko yun ng buong buo. If may mali man, I try to correct it and I try to make my life better. I don’t know how soon or how late, one step at a time," he previously said.
