Taemin's YouTube channel suspended following hacking incident

18 Dec - After facing another hacking attempt, SHINee's Taemin rep says that the singer's YouTube channel has been suspended.

As reported on Chosun, his agency Big Planet Made revealed on 16 December that they noticed that someone had tried to hack Taemin's channel yet again at around 3AM on 15 December.

"After becoming aware of the hacking, we immediately completed recovery and related measures, and on the morning of the 15 December, we submitted and reported the suspected hacking ID and related materials to YouTube," the company stated.

However, said the agency, they were notified by YouTube at noon of 16 December that the channel would be deleted due to violation of the channel's community guidelines. Thus, the channel is currently closed.

The agency further explained "We have been thoroughly implementing complex password combinations, two-step authentication, and security maintenance, and have mobilised everything we can to prevent hacking, but an unexpected situation has occurred, and we apologise for causing inconvenience and concern to fans."

They also promised to do their best to restore all that they can.

This is not the first time that Taemin's channel was hacked. The first instance happened in September, and involved other Big Planet Made stars as well, including Lee Seunggi.
