Stanley Cheung defends Koni Lui over numerous rumours
20 Apr – Stanley Cheung has recently taken to social media to defend "Come Home Loove" co-star Koni Lui following several allegations against the actress as well as one that dragged his name into the mud.
The actor shared a screenshot of a report that said he and Koni have been refusing to admit that they are dating, with a source claiming that the two would be missing for hours at work and spending time on their own in the VIP make-up room.
Stating that he was responding because the allegations were made up, Stanley admitted that he and Koni had gone to the VIP make-up room together, but only so that he could help her film an ad for a sponsor on the phone.
As for rumours that the actress was behaving badly with the lesser known actors and an entertainment news journalist who were interviewing them, Stanley stated that everybody who knows Koni knows that she treats everybody the same.
"She is passionate and very straightforward, and would take care of the team. She likes to help out, give tips and show the others how to do things. I think the reports were unfair this time and have crossed the line," he added.
On the other hand, Koni admitted that Stanley was helping her with work when they went into the VIP room, and that there were 24-hour cameras installed inside the room itself to prove that they were not doing anything untoward.
She also added that she no longer wants to respond to romance rumours about her and Stanley.
