New stall spotted in Tampines interchange serving up cai fan & chicken rice
We all know that stalls in Tampines Interchange are strategically placed for convenient grab-and-go options. Whether it’s a quick breakfast or a simple dinner, there’s always something there for you.
Recently, netizens have noticed a new stall opening right beside Bengawan Solo – Nanyang Jia Xiang Mixed Rice Chicken Rice. As the name suggests, they serve up cai fan and chicken rice.
Located right next to the alighting berths, this stall is hard to miss. It offers a wide array of cai fan dishes, including classics like sweet and sour pork, stir-fried vegetables, and even fried chicken. However, keep in mind that the menu may vary from day to day.
On the other end of the stall, you can find steamed and roasted chickens hung behind transparent glass panels – both menus providing a no-brainer option for your next meal. Dining-in is also available, however, take note that they have limited seats available.
They do get pretty crowded, especially during dinner hours, so dishes may sell out quickly. However, if you’re lucky or plan it right, you can still snag a simple meal before heading back home.
Some netizens have shared that Nanyang Jia Xiang Mixed Rice Chicken Rice isn’t entirely new. Apparently, they had set up shop in the exact same location some time ago but had to close down due to high rental costs. This is understandable given its prime location and potential to easily attract patrons.
Who knows, maybe this time they’ll stay longer? How long do you think they’ll last with the ever-changing rental rates these stalls face?
