Song Yi reunites with Ryan Cheng in new drama
15 May - Song Yi is set to reunite with Ryan Cheng in the new drama, "Shadow Love".
The two stars previously worked together in "Follow Your Heart", which has yet to be aired. However, in the said series, Ryan was the second lead, while Song Yi's character is paired up with Luo Yunxi.
However, in this new drama, which is adapted from a novel by Jiu Lu Feixiang, Song will play a female general named Li Shuang of the Jin Dynasty, who saves a seriously injured man (Ryan) with amnesia and brought him to her military camp.
The man then begs her to let him join her troop, where the two work together to uncover a spy. Unbeknownst to her, the amnesiac man is actually a royalty.
The upcoming drama will be helmed by Deng Ke of "My Heroic Husband" and "The Legend of Shen Li" fame.
