Sharon Kwok inducted to Women Divers Hall of Fame
13 May – It was revealed that former actress Sharon Kwok has been inducted as one of the new members of the Women Divers Hall of Fame.
As reported on Mingpao, the 48-year-old actress-turned-environmental advocate, who went to California earlier to receive the honour, said that her contribution to the diving industry is too minor compared with the other recipients who were also acknowledged at the event.
"But I will continue to work hard to promote marine conservation and remain committed to the Aquameridian Conservation & Education Foundation," she said.
According to Bonnie Toth, a Board Member of the WDHOF, the Hall of Fame is "to honour women who have made a contribution in many different segments of the diving industry.
