SeaWorld announce birth of endangered smalltooth sawfish pups

SeaWorld Orlando has announced the arrival of three critically endangered smalltooth sawfish pups as the second aquarium worldwide to have a successful birth.

The facility is also the only aquarium in the US to showcase the marine animals, the aquarium said on Wednesday (18 October).

Three pups - two females and one male - were born on 11 July, and they measure approximately two feet in length.

The new arrivals have had a comprehensive health examination and continue to receive regular checkups to monitor their progress, SeaWorld said.
