Samantha Ko not dreaming of winning TV Queen this year

9 Jan – Although she is confident in her chances to win Best Supporting Actress at the upcoming TVB Anniversary Awards, Samantha Ko admitted that she does not see herself bagging the TV Queen title anytime soon.

As reported on On CC, the actress, who was nominated in the Best Actress category for her performance in "My Commissioned Lover", stated that she is facing extremely tough competition in the said category, which include the likes of Kara Hui, Selena Lee, Natalie Tong, Miriam Yeung and former winner Ali Lee.

"Kara Hui was amazing in "The Defected", so I think she has the best chance of winning. At the same time, I know that Selena Lee ("Barrack O'Karma") and Miriam Yeung ("Wonder Women") are also the favourites to win. How do I even stand a chance?" she said.

Aside from being nominated in Best Actress category, Samantha is also nominated in My Favourite Actress category for playing the role of KimChi in the said series.

The upcoming TVB Anniversary Awards will be held on 12 January.

A grand jury in Massachusetts has indicted a doctor who is accused of sexually assaulting more than 200 former patients over a period of more than a decade. The patients sued Dr. Derrick Todd, who has been accused of performing unnecessary pelvic floor therapy, breast examinations, testicular examinations and other unwarranted procedures on patients dating back to 2010. The Middlesex District Attorney's Office said in a statement Thursday that Todd was indicted earlier that day for “two counts of rape alleging the sexual assault of two women.”
