Li Jing says sorry for blurting out identity of Jeannie Hsieh's child's alleged father
17 Jan - Taiwanese model and TV personality Li Jing found herself having to apologise to Jeannie Hsieh, after she made the mistake of blurting out the name of the alleged father of the singer's child.
The incident occurred on the set of her show, "Omg What?" as she and co-host William Shen discussed the latest news about Gemma Wu's surprising baby news and her refusal to name the father of her child.
As they were speaking about the issue, Li Jing suddenly mentioned that Jeannie also had a similar experience in the past and decided to blurt out the name of the alleged father, much to the surprise of everybody in the studio.
Realising something was wrong, she immediately expressed, "Isn't it? I saw the news. I thought it had been announced. I'm sorry, Jeannie. Let me apologise."
Following the show, Li Jing apologised again later that night, saying that she saw the information disclosed in the news on social media a while ago, and immediately shared it with her husband. She did not expect that her remarks would cause a lot of misunderstandings.
"I thought it was public knowledge, but when I saw everyone's expressions at the scene, I immediately knew that it was a wrong message. Thank you to all the media for muting me and correcting my mistakes," she said, adding, "I won't evade it. If it's right, it's right. If it's wrong, it's wrong. I know I was wrong, so I apologised immediately on the spot. I sincerely apologise to Jeannie."
