Ruby Lin: Women should be independent!
10 May - If there is a face to symbolise a strong woman, Ruby Lin's seemed to be the perfect one. Dubbed Taiwan's TV Drama Queen, Ruby has gone from being the cutesy lead star in many dramas to an award-winning actress-producer who is also actively involved in charity work and endorsements.
However, as reported on Epoch Times, the "Devotion of Suspect X" star doesn't consider herself a tough feminist, or even worthy of the title; only that she is a firm believer of women being independent.
She said, "I do believe women should be free and strong, to have their own career and economic independence. No need to rely on others all the time. You have to take care of yourself, grow on your own, and not be afraid to do anything."
While the mother of one seemed like a fragile woman, Ruby said that one should not be fooled by her tiny figure and baby face.
"These bones are hard and unyielding. As long as something is in my hands, I want it to be perfect," she said.
Now she is back to showbiz after giving birth to her daughter Angel, Ruby said that she is looking forward to start filming new drama, "My Boy", written by Mag Hsu ("MARS", "An Innocent Mistake").
