Roxanne Tong confirms "The Maid Alliance" to air next year
5 Dec– TVB actress Roxanne Tong recently confirmed that her previously shelved drama, "The Maid Alliance" will be broadcasting soon.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who spoke to the media about the previous rumour, stated that she had just been notified by the producer that the series is finally airing.
Asked if she was worried that the drama would not be seeing the light of day, Roxanne said, "You can't worry too much about these things. As an actor, you can only do your job."
However, the actress admitted that she is happy that the drama is now in the 2020 line-up.
"Of course I am delighted. This is the fruit of our concerted effort. It's harvest time now," she enthused.
"The Maid Alliance" was one of the series that were shelved following the scandal that had befallen TVB actress Jacqueline Wong, who was caught acting chummy with married singer Andy Hui inside a cab back in April.
However, the broadcaster recently took a gamble by releasing one of Jacqueline's other shelved series, "Finding Her Voice", and found that the actress' presence did not affect viewers' enjoyment of the show at all.
The said costume drama is set to be aired in January next year.
