Richie Jen shaves head for "Kowloon Walled City"
7 Dec – Richie Jen has now gone bald for the sake of his new movie, "Kowloon Walled City".
The actor recently shared a video of him getting his hair shaved by movie director Cheang Pou Soi, and wrote, "I haven't tried being bald in more than 20 years. How is it? Is it okay? Thank you, director Cheang."
Richie said that becoming an actor was a dream, that while he can be good looking as a singer every day, as an actor, he needs to go where his costume takes him.
As to why he didn't use a skull cap like most actors would do, Richie said that he tried it earlier, and that it took four hours to complete the whole look.
"It didn't look as good anyway," he added.
As for his other movie that will come after "Kowloon Walled City", the actor said he is not worried because the character will require him to wear a wig, and his shaved head will make it easier anyway.
"However, I don't know what to do with my New Year's Eve concert," he said. "Everybody, what kind of hairstyle should I get on stage?"
