Remy Ishak has mixed feelings about being a father soon

11 Apr – Remy Ishak recently admitted that he is both happy and nervous awaiting the birth of his first child with wife Ezza Yusof.

The actor, who spoke to the media at the Raya Astro 2023 programme recently, stated that he has conflicting emotions when it comes to the notion of fatherhood, confessing that he is most worried about not being able to be the best parent for his kid.

"It's not that I'm not confident. We are happy. It's just that, as we look at how Malaysia and the world are, I am worried about raising children in the current climate. So, I have been observing and asking friends who are more experienced in raising children. But of course, everybody has different methods in doing so," he said.

Although Ezza is five months pregnant now, Remy admitted that they have yet to find out the gender of the baby and that he has no preference whether it be a girl or a boy. He, however, has already picked a name for their baby.

"People usually use Arab names and words for their baby's name, but I want a Malay-sounding name. If the name is Malay and has a good meaning, that's good, right?" he said.

Remy and Ezza tied the knot in August 2021, after the two reunited following their previous breakup.
